Specialty Coffee Association of Japan(SCAJ) has organized the Japan Siphonist Championship (JSC) since 2003. In 2009, JSC expanded the competition towards the world and the first World Siphonist Championship took place in Japan.
At WSC, competitors who are not Japanese speakers perform through an interpreter. You may see that they express their own culture in their performance. Signature beverage is also a must-see. Its ingredients and visuality are very interesting with a lot of originality and they can never been seen in JSC.
The WSC seeks more expansion of siphon coffee and more a internationalized competition. We are planning to create a easy-access world competition for non-Japanese speakers and support National Siphonist Competitions around the world.
